- Participation in the 31st Annual EAIE Conference and Exhibition in Helsinki

Helsinki. September, 24th-27th, 2019
On 24-27 September 2019, in the framework of the 31Christophe Terrasse, EFMD, Belgium, as facilitator and as speakers: Mabelin Armenteros Amaya, Agrarian University of Havana, Cuba, Marcela Del Campo, Catholic University of Colombia, Colombia and Jean Baptiste Maillar, EFMD, presented good practices and peculiarities of a South-South and triangular cooperation. st Annual EAIE Conference and Exhibition in Helsinki, Finland took place at the Messukeskus Expo and Convention Centre it was made a session which tittle was “Getting inspiration from South-South cooperation to reshape education partnerships”. It was emphasized in the key points, success factors, to avoid from the conception of a project to its management, as well as the learned lesson about of the function of a consortium with diversity of actors.

June 2019, Villa Clara, Cuba
Convened by the Central University "Marta Abreu" of Las Villas, the II Workshop "Internationalization of Higher Education" INTES 2019 was held, within the framework of the II International Scientific Convention of the UCLV with the participation of 41 delegates from universities of Cuba, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Nicaragua, Angola, USA, Germany and Italy. In this framework, the experiences and results of the ERASMUS+ FORINT and RIESAL projects on Internationalization of Higher Education were socialized.
For two days, a Workshop on Strategic Planning was held, led by Prof. Dr. Fiona Hunter, in which the experiences of the universities of the FORINT Consortium were disseminated and roadmaps were prepared for their application in the universities present. - II Workshop “ Internationalization and Negotiation of Knowledge: Challenges and Perspectives”. SISA 2019 (Varadero, Cuba. May 6 – 10, 2019)
Within the framework of the III International Seminar on Agricultural Health (SISA 2019) and the XX Latin American Congress of Phytopathology, held in Varadero (Cuba) from May 6 to 10, 2019, the conference "Good practices generated from the FORINT Project" was presented. for the improvement of the internationalization process in Latin American Universities”.
At this conference, the UNAH International Relations Directorate presented the FORINT Project to all attendees, the main learnings and the results obtained by all the universities participating in said project.

In Havana, on April 10, 11 and 12, 2019, the Meeting of Directors of International Relations of Cuban universities was held, where a work session was held as part of the dissemination of learning from the Project "Strengthening the Internationalization between European and Latin American universities” (FORINT) and the achievements of the sustainability of the results obtained.

April 2019
On April 26, 2019, the workshop: "Internationalization: strategic vision for a university of Excellence" was held at the Santa Cecilia Convention Center in the City of Camagüey.
In this workshop, the strategic internationalization plan resulting from the Forint project was presented. The delegates worked on the action plan at the department, management and faculty level to comply with the strategic planning in each of its objectives. - FORINT and the International Student Mobility Program of Panama

Through the efforts of the Specialized University of the Americas and the University of Panama, the Cuban universities that are part of the FORINT project participated in the 3rd Call for the International Student Mobility Program for the first semester of 2019.

February 27 and 28, 2019. Universidad Central de las Villas (UCLV)
Professors Dr. Ulla Kriebernegg and Dr. Gerald Lemprechet were visiting professors at the University of Graz, Austria, and gave lectures in the English Language course at the Faculty of Humanities related to the History of Jewish migrations in Europe and towards Latin America; the case study of Austria, language, culture and society. In addition, they also discussed the historical background of the phenomenon as well as the concepts of migration theory, and explored how such conceptualizations can be used in the analysis of fictional accounts of transatlantic Jewish migration.

University of Camagüey. February, 2019
The University of Camagüey (UC) "Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz", developed this Thursday, in the Santa Cecilia Convention Center, the Workshop: Results of the Project Strengthening the Internationalization between European and Latin American Universities (FORINT), new goals and projections. The delegates addressed the issues related to: the necessary internationalization of the curriculum in order to increase student mobility, internationalization at home, planning of activities giving importance to all the university actors, visibility and positioning in rankings, commercialization of products and services and finally project management.

La Universidad Central de las Villas "Marta Abreu" was the venue on Tuesday, January 15, of the workshop for positioning in university rankings convened by the Ministry of Education of Cuba. The workshop was given by Juan Carlos Mejía Cuartas, Director for Latin America of QS Intelligent Unit, with the presence of María Victoria Villavicencio, Director of International Relations of the MES and Dr. C Alina Montero Torres, Director of International Relations of the UCLV.

On January 8 and 9, the first workshop was held with the members of the Teaching-Educational Vice-Rector's Office and with Vice-Deans, respectively. In both workshops they debated the internationalization of the curriculum. The socialization of the action plan of the internationalization of the curriculum was the axis of the workshops. The areas for the selection of the degrees to participate in this first stage of the process were also instructed.

On January 23, the first of the planned workshops on coordinator training took place. These workshops are especially directed to the coordinators of the 12 careers that have been finally designated to begin the process of internationalization of their curriculum.

Dr. Philippe Humble of the Free University of Brussels (VUB) gave the lecture "Critical theories of intercultural communication". This conference was held at the Faculty of Humanities of the UCLV and it was included in the process of internationalization of the University. To this conference not only students but also representatives of the faculty were invited.

From January 31 to February 2, at the Hotel Meliá Las Dunas, GEPROY developed the International Workshop: "Workshop for Strategic Entrepreneurship Education", with the presence of the German professor David Sichert, who shared his experience with the members of GEPROY (Management of training in local development projects in the province of Villa Clara).

La Havana, June 29th and 30th, 2017
In Havana, on June 29 th and 30th, 2017, the "Round Table on the Socialization of Exper iences and Learning in the Internationalization Process" was held with the participation of Cuban and Panamanian universities. The fifth task in the framework of Pac kage 1 of the FORINT Project was carried out. This activity culminated with the situation an d needs analysis of this process for each university beneficiary of the project. Under the leade rship of the European expert PhD Fiona Hunter from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Italy, this work package involved several activitie s in Europe and Cuba.

Within the framework of the 11th International Congress of Higher Education "Universidad 2018" held between the days between February 12 and 16, 2018, under the slogan "The University and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development" in the centenary of the Reformation of Córdoba, developed at the Convention Center of Havana; presented the results achieved with the execution of the FORINT project with a regional focus and the goals proposed by the Cuban and Panamanian universities for the development of the internationalization process. National and International Delegates to the Congress were present at the meeting.

Conceived as a space for collaboration and exchange of academic experiences, the 290th Anniversary International Colloquium was inaugurated at the Havana Convention Center. The space, inscribed in the program of the Congreso Universidad 2018, featured interventions focused on the history of the University of Havana (UH): its role in the creation of new knowledge, the role of science and innovation for sustainable development, as well as the internationalization of education.

Holguín, 13 – 15 December 2017
On 13, 14 and 15 December 2017, the representatives of the different participating universities in the Project FORINT attended the seminar on International Projects and Project management. As part of the Work Package 2 “Trainings on internationalisation at strategic level”, the seminar offered to the participants an opportunity to discuss and share best practices on the submission, management and international coordination of international projects.

In the framework of the International Congress of Agricultural Sciences "Agrociencias 2017" held between November 20 to 24, 2017 at the Havana Convention Center (Cuba) with the participation of 104 foreign delegates and 350 Cuban delegates, were presented the objectives, results achieved with the execution of the FORINT project and the goals that it proposes for the development of internationalization.

On 12-15 September 2017, in the framework of the 29th Annual Conference of EAIE (European Association for International Education) in Seville, the project FORINT organised the session “Cuban business education: best practices for effective cooperation with Europe”. Dr. Mabelin Armenteros Amaya, Director of Internationalisation at the Agrarian University of Havana (UNAH), presented the contribution of international collaboration between Latin American and European HEI made possible with the European Union and the Cuban Higher Education process and its internationalisation strategy implemented through European projects.

La Havana, June 26th, 27th and 28th, 2017
In Havana, on 26, 27 and 28 June 2017, the Training Workshop on European Educational Systems, Quality and Accreditation for Internatio nalization at strategic level w as carried out. It was the first task developed in the framework of Work Packag e 2 of the FORINT Project. PhD. Gustavo Cobreiro Suárez, Rector of the University of Havana welcomed the 37 participants (26 Cubans, 8 Panamanians and 3 European professors representing EFMD) at this university campus. The working sessions of two and a half days of extraordinary interest were developed. The presentations developed focused on the Erasmus + programs by Carlos Pérez Padilla, Representative of the Delegation of the European Union in Cuba; Education Systems in Europe, given by PhD. Christophe Terrasse, Director of International Projects, EFMD and the Quality and Accreditation of Management Education: EFMD experience by PhD Julio Urgel, Director of Cuban Development Projects, EFMD.
